At Onsight Care we love natural ways to take care of yourself. Natural ways to feel good about yourself. Self-care is important, especially with all the stress the world is creating for us right now!
So, we got an easy way to take an extra step in your self-care routine, a sugar scrub. Sugar scrubs are great for your skin, giving you that exfoliated glow. We recommend using your sugar scrub all over to help get rid of dead skin cells and moisturize. Making for healthy, clearer skin. And here’s a secret… they are so easy to make right at home!
Below we have our easy 3 step recipe to making your own sugar scrub for that extra holiday care! Below we make a gentle scrub for your face, maybe pair it with our bath soak recipe for the perfect relaxing bath time!
What you need:
1/2 cup -Sugar (we recommend using organic)
1/2 cup -Grapeseed Oil
3-5 drops -Your choice of essential oils (optional)
Step 1:
Combine sugar and grapeseed oil together. We use grapeseed oil as it’s a nice light oil for your face, but feel free to substitute with whichever oil works best for your skin.
Step 2:
Add essential oils. We used carrot seed, lavender, and frankincense for our face scrub. But again, feel free to substitute with your favorite relaxing essential oils! If your skin is sensitive to scents, simply skip over this step!
Step 3:
Mix thoroughly and scrub away!
3 ingredients, 3 steps, it’s that easy! Yes, seems crazy, but that’s all it takes! Simply all that’s left to do is enjoy! We suggest using a scrub 1-2 times a week to keep your skin moisturized and healthy! The perfect excuse to lock the bathroom door and have some alone, self-care time!
Happy making!
